• We are hiring immediately for a full-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER.
• Location: University of Tennessee Medical Center - 1924 Alcoa Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; days may vary, 5:45 am to 6:30 pm. Rotating weekends. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior food service experience is preferred. Willing to train!
• Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts. Assist with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Cashier according to established procedures, maintain cash accuracy, and make deposits at the end of shifts.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving line, ensure food temperatures are within acceptable ranges, and notify cooks if not.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily.
• Stock and rotate refrigerator products using FIFO; record temperatures daily.
• Maintain proper stock levels in pantries and record replenishments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
