We are hiring immediately for a full-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.

Location: Roper Hospital - 316 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; Days may vary. 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: No prior experience required.

Pay Range: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts. Assist with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Cashier according to established procedures, maintain cash accuracy with receipts, and make deposits at the end of each shift.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving line, ensure temperatures are within acceptable ranges, and notify cooks if not.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Set up items for purchase daily.
• Keep refrigerator stocked and rotate products using FIFO.
• Stock pantries with correct par levels of food items daily and record temperatures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
