Compass Group USA is seeking a food service associate in East Lansing, MI to operate the POS system, assist chefs, and maintain clean coffee and cashier stations. You will perform cashier duties, help with food prep, and ensure inventory is stocked for daily service.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Point of Sale (POS) system and handling cash accurately.
• Ability to assist chefs with meal preparation and catering orders.
• Willingness to stock, rotate, and monitor inventory and supplies.
• Comfortably working in retail food service and serving customers.
• Able to maintain clean and organized workstations and adhere to safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Operate the POS system and assist the Chef, keeping coffee and cashier stations clean.
• Prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts; assist with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties with the POS, ensuring cash accuracy and deposits.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving line and monitor temperatures; notify cooks if out of range.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
