Job summary

Compass Group USA at Spring Arbor College in Spring Arbor, MI is hiring for full- and part-time cashier/food service worker positions. You will operate the POS system, assist the Chef, brew coffee, and keep the cashier and coffee stations clean.

Prior cashier and food service experience is preferred; training is provided. Schedule varies by day and shift, and pay ranges from $14.50 to $15.50 per hour with benefits typical to Compass Group.

• Prior cashier and food service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate POS system.

Responsibilities

• Operate Point of Sale system and manage cash with receipts.
• Assist Chef and prepare coffee; maintain clean cashier and coffee stations.
• Prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts; help with catering orders.
• Provide service across retail areas including cashiering and line serving.
• Record temperatures and ensure food safety during service.
• Stock and rotate inventory; set up daily items for purchase.
