Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and report pricing discrepancies.
• Stay updated with ads and promotions; ensure food safety regulations are followed.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management; participate in preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Assist customers by answering questions about products and store departments.
