Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market in Wisconsin is seeking a friendly Cashier to support fast, accurate checkout and outstanding customer service. You will handle payments, issue receipts and refunds, greet customers, and help maintain a clean, efficient front-end area.

Open availability is preferred, with some PM shifts and weekends. The role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years grocery retail experience, basic math, POS familiarity, and strong communication and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Must maintain the highest level of customer service.
• Ability to adapt in a high-volume retail environment.
• Must be able to take initiative and work with others in a team.

Responsibilities

• Walk the store prior to each shift to be aware of promos and items.
• Compute bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, gift cards or debit.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, rain checks or changes.
• Operate cash register and POS to record prices and totals.
• Greet customers and provide assistance as needed.
• Maintain clean, orderly checkout areas and remove personal items.
• Issue coupons and rain checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
