Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Cashier to be the face of the store, processing customer transactions quickly and accurately while delivering excellent service.

You will handle cash and payments, assist customers with locating products, and support front-end operations in a fast-paced environment. The role requires reliability, flexibility, and strong math and communication skills, with potential for career growth.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of cashiering experience.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to operate front end equipment; register, calculator, scanner.
• Flexible schedule that changes with the business; nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and cart up to 35 lbs. for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers; cash handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Process each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change.
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints.
• Stock shelves and maintain checkout areas in a clean, orderly condition.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and product locations.
