Goodwill of South Central Wisconsin, Inc. is seeking a friendly Cashier to provide top-tier customer service at the register and help maintain an inviting shopping environment.

You will process transactions accurately, assist customers, and promote community-minded programs. This role supports merchandising tasks and safety standards, contributing to a positive, efficient store experience for all visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience ringing sales on a cash register or similar point-of-sale system.
• Strong customer service skills and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and invite repeat visits.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Promote the Round-Up program at each transaction to support donors and community impact.
• Maintain a fresh, merchandised sales floor and salvage items as needed.
• Restock shelves, manage carts, and place merchandise in its proper area.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment following established safety guidelines.
• Monitor fitting rooms and report theft as appropriate.
• Interact professionally with staff, customers, and donors at all times.
• Assist Asset Protection as needed (age 18+), including acting as witness for shoplifting incidents.
• Support production, rotation, and 1-touch merchandising processes.
