Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a cashier to ensure customers leave the store with a positive experience. You will handle payments, assist at the register and self-checkout, and help customers find the best value.

The role may involve assisting other departments, stocking, or moving carts, in a fast-paced environment. Prior retail or customer service exposure is helpful, and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic for transactions.
• Able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer for inputting or retrieving information.
• Lifting up to 75 pounds with or without assistance.
• Retail and/or customer service experience is a plus.
• Bilingual abilities are beneficial where applicable.
• Ability to assist customers at the checkout and self-checkout areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions and provide help as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
