Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a cashier to ensure every customer leaves our stores with a positive checkout experience. You will help customers find value, process payments, and handle exchanges while keeping the register area organized and welcoming.

Most time is spent at the register, but you may assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. If you enjoy helping customers in a fast-paced retail environment, this is the role for you.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills required.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation; heavy lifting up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
