Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a friendly cashier to ensure every customer exits the store on a high note. You’ll handle payments, assist at the register, and help shoppers get the best value for their money.

Most time is spent at the register, with occasional help across departments, stocking shelves, or moving carts. If you enjoy helping customers in a fast-paced environment, this is the role for you.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic required.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Able to lift 10–15 lbs as needed; team lifts may exceed.
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual skills encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
