Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a part-time cashier to deliver a fast, friendly checkout experience and help customers get the best value at the register. You will scan and bag items accurately, manage payments and exchanges, and assist customers with questions in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities include supporting other departments as needed, stocking as required, and maintaining a clean, safe workstation while contributing to a positive shopping experience for our communities.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 75 pounds with team lifts or assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
