Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a cashier to provide a quick, friendly checkout experience and help customers maximize value at the register. You will support payments, exchanges, and customer questions while contributing to a high-quality shopping experience across the store.

As part of the Lowe’s team, you may assist in other departments, stock shelves, or move carts, with opportunities for growth through benefit programs and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic proficiency required.
• Experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; light to moderate lifting up to 75 pounds with team lifts as needed.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state; bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions and ensure satisfaction.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
