Job summary

Goodwill of Monocacy Valley is seeking a Store Team Member in Middletown, MD to lead an excellent customer and brand experience and promote sales. You will run registers, handle payments, and help maintain sales floor standards.

The role requires a High School education or equivalent, strong customer service and math skills, and the ability to communicate in English. Must be 16 or older and pass background checks as applicable. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent math skills preferred.
• Ability to communicate and understand instructions, both verbal and written, in English.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Performs POS responsibilities and processes all forms of payments.
• Asks each customer for cash donations at POS.
• Establishes or identifies prices of goods via markings or asking for help from a leader.
• Completes closing procedures, as necessary.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
• Greets customers and thanks them as they leave the store.
• Maintains sales floor according to floorwork standards.
• Stocks merchandise in assigned areas.
• Uses phones and paging systems for regularly scheduled announcements.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment.
