Job Summary:

The Cage - Cashier safeguards the casino bankroll. Responsible for cash, chips, and negotiable instrument transactions at the casino cage. Starting wage is $15.50.

Essential Functions:

1. Develops and maintains a service standard that ensures the delivery of superior internal/external guest service by all team members.
2. Counts all cash drawer currency prior to performing any cash transactions.
3. Issues fills and credits for table games / jackpots for the Slot Department.
4. Cashes checks and processes Markers for approved credit players upon proper identification.
5. Follows federal cash reporting requirements.
6. Ensures department adherence to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
7. Maintains knowledge of all promotions and events.
8. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High School graduate or equivalent.
2. Excellent customer service skills.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to account for large sums of currency.
5. Previous cash handling experience preferred.
6. Responds to visual and aural cues.
7. Reads, writes, speaks, and understands English.
8. Able to work flexible shifts.

Physical Requirements:

1. Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations.
2. Operates in mentally and physically stressful situations.

Environmental Working Conditions:

1. The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations.
