Overview
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and dedicated Barista/Cashier to join our team. As a Barista/Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing high-quality coffee and espresso drinks, and maintaining a clean, inviting work environment. Your role is crucial in delivering an exceptional coffee experience to our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our coffee shop.
This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00-$16.00 and is tip eligible.

Responsibilities
- Prepare Coffee & Espresso Drinks: Brew and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, iced coffees, and more.
- Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly attitude, take orders, answer questions, and ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the coffee bar, dining area, and all equipment clean and organized throughout the day.
- Stock Management: Ensure that coffee beans, syrups, cups, and other supplies are stocked and ready for use.
- Notify the manager when supplies are low.
- Ensure Quality: Follow company recipes and procedures to maintain consistency and high-quality standards.
- Cash Handling: Accurately process payments, handle cash, and provide change.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other staff members, including kitchen staff and managers, to ensure efficient operations.
- Adherence to Health & Safety Standards: Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and proper handling of equipment in accordance with health regulations.
- Conduct the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing the transaction.
- Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels, and communicating to the Concessions Stand Manager of low stock items.
- Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work space including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
- Serve beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages responsibly.
- Must check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages.
- Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be 18 or over.
- Three or more months’ experience in food service industry preferred.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system.
- Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
