Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team-focused Cashier to join our school food service program at York Public Schools. In this role, you''ll help create a positive experience for students by providing friendly, efficient service while managing transactions and supporting smooth daily meal service.

The role emphasizes cash handling, POS operation, and teamwork with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate the POS system to process student transactions.
• Keep station stocked and assist with serving meals.
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions.
• Provide friendly service to students, staff, and customers.
• Assist with setup and cleanup before and after meal service.
• Adhere to food safety standards and complete basic logs.
• Communicate inventory, feedback, or account concerns to the team.
• Support teammates with stocking and basic kitchen tasks as needed.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-2pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team-focused Cashier to join our school food service program. In this role, you'll help create a positive experience for students by providing friendly, efficient service while managing transactions and supporting smooth daily meal service. It's a great role for someone who enjoys working with people and being part of a supportive team.

What You'll Do

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process student transactions and manage account balances

Keep your station stocked and ready while helping serve meals and a la carte items during service

Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions accurately

Provide friendly, respectful service to students, staff, and customers, helping create a welcoming environment.

Assist with set-up and clean-up before and after meal service

Support food safety standards and complete basic logs or records as needed

Communicate with your team and supervisors about inventory, customer feedback, or account concerns

Jump in where needed - help with stocking, basic kitchen tasks, or supporting teammates

What You Bring

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Ability to work independently while staying connected to your team.

Dependability, integrity, and attention to detail.

Basic computer skills and comfort using a POS system.

Cash handling experience preferred.

Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.
