Job Responsibilities:

  1. Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the check lane.
  2. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures per company policy.
  3. Adhere to company policies on cash shortages/overages and work honestly to control loss.
  4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  5. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
  6. Follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  7. Stay current with advertising campaigns and promotions.
  8. Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  9. Support safety programs, follow safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
  10. Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs.
  11. Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with product questions and store navigation.
  12. Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines.
  13. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  14. Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
  15. Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
  16. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  17. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  18. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
