Responsibilities include:

• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Handling various tenders like cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons, following company policies.
• Adhering to cash handling limits and working honestly to control loss.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Reporting pricing discrepancies.
• Managing postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons according to policies.
• Staying current with advertisements and promotions.
• Adhering to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Maintaining equipment and reporting repairs needed.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
• Complying with all applicable laws and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
• Following directions and seeking help when needed.
