Overview of Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. You will handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change, assist customers with product information, and resolve complaints. Your duties include following all front-end procedures, stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed. You will also maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, guide customers to product locations, stay informed about store events and seminars, and communicate effectively with the front-end manager and Head Cashier. Ensuring checkout areas are clean and orderly, and executing other duties as assigned, are also part of your role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Display outgoing and friendly behavior, maintain a positive attitude, and interact well with customers.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependability and reliability, with the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Good communication skills, capable of taking direction and participating in a team environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force, for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, and excellent cash handling and mathematical skills.
