Job summary

Pollo Campero is hiring a Front of House Team Member, Cashier in Amityville, NY. You will guide guests through the menu, help them tailor orders, and handle POS transactions in a fast-paced setting.

We seek bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates with at least 1 year in similar roles, able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand long hours, and work nights/weekends/holidays. Training on safety policies is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• 1+ year of experience in similar roles preferred.
• Able to lift and push 50 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must produce authorized U.S. work documents.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests on entry and during visits.
• Be knowledgeable of menu items to make suggestions and answer questions.
• Verify orders for accuracy, handle to-go orders, process POS transactions and cash handling procedures.
• Operate cash register and count money, ensuring accurate change.
• Count register at start/end of shift with management to prevent shortages or overages.
• Assist with front-line food preparation and take orders to tables.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing fast, friendly service and quality products.
• Work well with others and communicate effectively in a busy restaurant environment.

The Front of House Team Member, Cashier’s responsibility is to provide an unforgettable experience for our customers thru guiding them around the menu and supporting them in completing an order that fits their needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming new and repeat guests every visit
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items to make meal suggestions and answer questions
• Verify each guest order for accuracy, manage “to-go” orders, process POS transactions and follow cash handling procedures
• Operate cash register and must be able to count money and give change correctly
• Count register before and after each shift with management to ensure no shortage or overage
• Assist with front line food preparation procedures such as packaging and take orders to tables
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing quick, efficient service and quality products
• Must be able to work with others and communicate effectively in a busy restaurant environment
• Follows and abides all safety rules, policies, and procedures
