Overview of Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. You will handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and provide information and resolution to customer inquiries. Your duties include following all front-end procedures, assisting with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed. You will maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, direct customers to products, stay informed about store events, and communicate effectively with management. Ensuring checkout areas are clean and orderly, and executing other duties as assigned, are also part of your role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of cashiering experience.
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills, ability to take direction, and work well in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive activities, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs., and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force, for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, and excellent cash handling and math skills.
