GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: To provide excellent customer service to our customers while maximizing profitability and efficiency.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1. Perform opening duties to prepare the facility to receive customers
2. Perform cash handling duties and transact business with our customers
3. Maximize revenue by effectively up-selling races
4. Efficiently fill the day's racing schedule
5. Coordinate group events and perform award ceremonies
6. Provide accurate information to our customers in person and over the phone
7. Ensure that the lobby, banquet room, cafe, and restroom areas remain clean and safe
8. Accurately count till(s) and provide funds for deposit
9. Perform specific facility cleaning duties as assigned by management
10. Perform closing duties to clean the facility and prepare for the following day's operation

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Effectively communicate with customers and respond to questions.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

This job has specific vision requirements:

• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
• Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)

Physical demands include moving packages of drinks and food, handling bins, and reaching for retail products.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor with moderate noise levels. Exposed to outdoor elements through openings.
