Overview

Responsibilities

1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently, ensuring complete satisfaction through prompt and friendly service.
2. Handle cash, credit/debit payments, and give correct change.
3. Assist customers with product information and resolve complaints.
4. Follow front end procedures, stock shelves, face, and dust as needed.
5. Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and store events.
6. Communicate effectively with the front end manager and Head Cashier.
7. Keep checkout areas clean and orderly.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of cashiering experience.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and good customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front end equipment such as register, scanner, calculator.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency in cash handling, and mathematical skills.

Pay Range

$16.55 - $20.75/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
