What You’ll do

The Cashier plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth transactions. Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions accurately, maintaining a welcoming environment, and promoting store programs like loyalty, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan (RKPPP).

• Deliver outstanding service through clear communication and active listening.
• Greet customers warmly as they enter the store.
• Assist customers with transactions and educate them on company programs.
• Manage cash, returns, layaways, and exchanges accurately.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Provide product information and respond to inquiries.
• Coordinate with loaders and respond promptly to customer requests.
• Execute transactions efficiently and resolve price disputes professionally.
• Stand at designated areas to assist customers when not engaged in transactions.
• Promote the loyalty program and its benefits.
• Introduce the Rural King Visa card and its advantages.
• Handle incoming calls with professionalism.
• Reconcile registers and handle paperwork accurately.
• Deactivate EAS devices or spider wraps as needed.
• Maintain awareness to prevent loss and deliver excellent service.
• Perform tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and managing registers.
• Refill stations and keep shopping carts and restrooms clean.
• Use office equipment as needed.
• Participate in cross-training and learning initiatives.
• Support others proactively and professionally.
