Job summary

PCC Community Markets in Seattle seeks a friendly cashier who can deliver excellent customer service and accurately process transactions at the register. You will promote PCC membership and programs while scanning items, handling payments, and assisting customers.

Responsibilities include bagging groceries, maintaining a clean register area, and upholding safety standards in a fast-paced environment for our community-focused market.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Available to work mornings, mid-day shifts and weekends.
• Must demonstrate basic math skills and proficiency at 10-key.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Retail or public customer contact experience is desirable; familiarity with cashiering or grocery is a plus.
• Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, lifting 10-40lbs regularly.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Main Job Responsibilities

• Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs regularly
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
