Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a friendly cashier to assist customers in selecting and purchasing items and to operate and balance the cash register with accuracy. The role includes handling donations, maintaining a clean checkout area, and answering phones with courteous service.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and prior retail experience. Training will cover cash handling processes and store procedures to ensure excellent customer support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting and purchasing items.

• Maintain security of the cash register area and secure merchandise.
• Clean display racks, sweep and mop floors, clean windows and mirrors, and support store cleanliness.
• Answer store telephone courteously.

Operate and maintain a cash register; collect monies, count change, and prepare receipts; balance the cash register drawer and print routine register print-outs; prepare and deliver bank deposits. Respond to customers questions and assist customers who are donating items. Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of merchandise and displays. Maintain the neatness and security of the cash register area; secure merchandise and the cash register. Clean display racks and shelves; sweep and mop floors; clean windows, mirrors, and help maintain overall cleanliness of store.
