Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your duties include handling customer cash, credit/debit payments, and providing information and resolving complaints. You will also assist with stocking shelves, facing, dusting, and maintaining checkout areas in a clean and orderly condition. Additionally, you will be knowledgeable about weekly ad items, store events, and seminars, and communicate effectively with the front end manager and Head Cashier. All other related duties as assigned are also part of your role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to interact well with customers.
• Ability to operate front end equipment such as register, calculator, and scanner.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Capable of performing repetitive activities, multitasking, prioritizing, and staying organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force, for durations up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency in cash handling, and mathematical skills.
