Responsibilities

As a Cashier, you are the face of the company, processing each customer's order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. You will handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and provide information and resolve complaints. Your duties include following front-end procedures, assisting with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting. You will maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, guide customers to product locations, stay informed about store events, and communicate effectively with your manager and team. Ensuring the checkout area is clean and orderly and performing other duties as assigned are also part of your role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of cashiering experience.
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work well in a team.
• Capable of performing repetitive tasks, multitasking, prioritizing, and staying organized.
• Able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force.
• Strong attention to detail, proficient in cash handling, and mathematical skills.
