As a Part-Time Seasonal Lead Cashier, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient and friendly service at the point of sale. Your responsibilities will include overseeing cashier operations, assisting guests with purchases, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Your leadership and commitment to excellent service will enhance the visitor experience while supporting the Zoo’s important conservation efforts.

What You’ll Do:

As a Part-Time Lead Cashier, you will be at the forefront of our guest interactions, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Mastering the Register System: Handle all transactions with confidence and accuracy.
• Managing Special Transactions: Skillfully process returns, price overrides, and other unique scenarios.
• Opening and Closing Registers: Ensure accurate cash flow and adhere to security procedures.

• Experience Required: Prior retail, cash-handling, and customer service experience.
• Flexible Schedule: Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• People Person: Naturally enjoy interacting with guests of all ages.

Physical Requirements

• Active Work: Frequently stand, walk, and use hands to handle merchandise.
• Mobility: Occasionally reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
