Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Customer service experience
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Cashier/Checker responsibilities include being visible and actively greeting, engaging, and assisting customers.

Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.

Adhere to company's cash handling policies and loss prevention measures.

Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).

Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with ads.

Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures.

Identify unsafe conditions and notify management.

Maintain equipment and report repairs.

Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.

Follow all laws and company guidelines, and perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
