KD Market in Illinois is seeking energetic Retail Cashiers to join our checkout teams. You will scan items, handle payments, issue receipts, and help customers with promotions and location details.

The role offers Regular full-time or part-time schedules. Illinois BASSET certification is required, and you must stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. We provide medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and employee discounts.

• Smart safe drops: Balance cash drawer and perform Smart Safe deposits.
• Customer experience: Greet shoppers, promote KD Club, apply refunds, and bag groceries.

Job description

Position Overview

Retail Cashiers work at the checkout areas of retail stores and are responsible for handling transactions fast and accurately. The Cashier will scan the customer’s selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information to customers' products, promotions, item location, and maintain a clean workspace. To succeed as a Cashier, a person should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy, be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service.

• Register Transactions: Scan customer selections fast and accurately, ensure correct pricing, accept cash/credit/debit/EBT/checks, and issue change.


• Anti-Skimming Security: Inspect POS terminal card readers and PIN pads daily for skimming devices.


• Smart Safe Drops: Perform cash drawer balancing, Smart Safe deposits, and loan/declare entries.


• Customer Experience: Greet shoppers, ask for KD Club membership, apply 100% Freshness Guarantee refunds, and bag groceries.
