Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various tenders, including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures per company policy.
• Maintain adherence to cash handling limits and control loss effectively.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Report pricing discrepancies and manage postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons according to policies.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and advertisements.
• Comply with all food safety and safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Perform equipment inspections and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, answering customer questions about products.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
• Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
