Position: Guest Service Expert (Cashier)
Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, Cashiers are the Guest Service Experts who champion better burgers! In this role, you will:
- Greet guests with a smile and welcome them on every visit
- Promote a fun, positive work environment
- Work effectively with team members and communicate well in a busy restaurant setting
- Be knowledgeable about menu items to suggest meals and answer questions
- Verify orders for accuracy, manage to-go orders, process POS transactions, and understand the Smashburger rewards program
- Check in with guests after food delivery to ensure satisfaction and needs are met
- Encourage guests to participate in marketing promotions and complete surveys
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety and security standards
- Keep floors, counters, dining areas, and restrooms clean using approved cleaning products
- Listen, communicate, and work well with others in a fast-paced environment
- Uphold integrity and do the right thing at all times
- Follow cash handling policies to prevent theft or shortages
- Upsell menu items through thoughtful suggestions
- Ensure order accuracy to maximize guest satisfaction and minimize waste
- No experience necessary; training provided
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Be punctual and available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Adhere to uniform policy and all company guidelines and regulations
- Must have valid U.S. work authorization and complete E-Verify process
