Job Description for Cashier at Wegmans

At Wegmans, our cashiers ensure customers leave with a positive experience. You will provide proactive, exceptional customer service in both traditional checkout and self-checkout lanes, leaving a lasting impression and transforming first-time shoppers into loyal Wegmans customers!

What will I do?

1. Engage customers in friendly conversation, make eye contact, smile, offer assistance, and thank them for shopping at Wegmans.
2. Efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments at the register.
3. Properly bag items to ensure they arrive in the condition they left the store.
4. Manage traffic flow in self-checkout areas, direct customers to available lanes, ensure systems are functioning properly, and assist with troubleshooting.
5. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace.
