Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles is seeking a part-time cashier for the cafeteria and coffee bar. You will process transactions, prepare beverages, and maintain clean, stocked workstations while ensuring accuracy and PCI-compliant cash handling.

• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked workstations, including condiment and assigned service areas.
• Reconcile daily cash reports and secure deposits in accordance with cash handling and PCI requirements.
• Assist with food service stations and other duties as needed to support operational needs.
• Multitask between cashier and coffee bar responsibilities, including prolonged standing and simultaneous tasks.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to internal and external customers, addressing concerns with diplomacy and following CICARE standards.
• Read and follow applicable policies, procedures, memos, bulletins, and cashier work rules.
• Note: this is a limited position expected to last 3 months. May convert to career.

Ability to adjust to fluctuating workloads, adhere to work schedules, and follow departmental work rules, including attendance and dress code requirements.

Knowledge of and ability to adhere to departmental, University, and hospital policies, including cash handling, safety, sanitation, JC, and HACCP standards.
