Mother’s Market & Kitchen in Laguna Woods, CA is hiring a part-time Cashier to deliver fast, friendly checkout experiences. You will greet customers, operate POS registers, bag groceries, and help customers find items while upholding store standards.

Responsibilities

As a Cashier, you’ll be the face of our store providing fast, friendly, and accurate checkout experiences while helping customers find what they need. Hourly Pay: $16.90 – $19.80

What You will Do

• Greet every customer with a warm and welcoming attitude
• Accurately ring up purchases using computerized registers
• Bag groceries with care, keeping customer preferences in mind
• Memorize product codes for produce and bulk items
• Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift
• Assist with store upkeep when not checking out customers (cleaning, stocking, facing shelves)
• Help customers locate products and answer questions
• Take and follow up on special orders with department managers
• Ensure price accuracy and report discrepancies on shelf tags
• Support overall store safety, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Lead Cashier

What You Bring

Experience & Skills:

• Previous customer service experience (cashiering is a plus)
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using computerized register systems
• Clear communication skills in English (verbal and written)

• Able to multitask and stay accurate in a busy environment
• Willing to jump in and support your team wherever needed
• Eager to learn product knowledge and assist customers confidently

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
• Frequent use of touchscreen registers and scanners
• Push/pull products across the scanner and handle cash
• Lift up to 50 lbs., bend, squat, reach overhead, and climb ladders
• Answer phones and engage with customers face-to-face

Schedule Requirements

• Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
