Cashiers process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.

Checkers understand the Point of Sale (POS) system, handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, complex loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.

Checkers adhere to company's limits on cash shortages and/or overages and work honestly to control loss.

Cashiers follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).

Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.

Follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.

Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.

Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.

Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.

Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs.

Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products.

Follow all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.

Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments.

Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.

Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.

Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
