Overview of Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your responsibilities include handling customer cash, credit/debit payments, and providing information and resolving complaints. You will also assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed. Maintaining knowledge of weekly ad items, guiding customers to product locations, and staying in communication with the front end manager and Head Cashier are essential. Ensuring checkout areas are clean and orderly and executing other duties as assigned are also part of your role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of cashiering experience.
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Capable of performing repetitive tasks, multi-tasking, prioritizing, and staying organized.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force, for up to 50 hours.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency in cash handling, and basic math skills.
