Responsibilities

As a Cashier, you are the face of the company, processing customer orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently, ensuring complete satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. You will handle cash, credit/debit payments, and provide product information, resolve complaints, assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting. You will maintain knowledge of weekly ads, direct customers to products, stay informed about store events, and communicate effectively with management. Ensuring checkout areas are clean and orderly, and executing other related duties, are also part of your role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of cashiering experience.
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and excellent customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills, ability to follow directions, and work well in a team.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Capable of lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs. and moving grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force.
• Proficient in cash handling, numbers, and basic math; able to read, write, and count.
