Job summary

Hawk Auto Group in Illinois is hiring a part-time Cashier to greet customers, process transactions, and support the front desk. You will operate cash registers, scanners, and POS systems, tally totals, issue receipts, and handle change with accuracy.

The role includes answering phones, basic clerical duties, and assisting the Fleet Department as needed. In-person work with a friendly team and reliable schedules.

Qualifications

• Cashier experience preferred.
• Dealership experience preferred, but not required.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in operating a cash register.
• Computer proficiency.
• Customer service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at the cashier window, answering customers' questions and providing information on procedures or policies.
• Computing and recording transaction totals.
• Counting money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change, as well as reconciling the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
• Establishing or identifying prices of parts or service and tabulating bills using calculators, cash registers, or computers.
• Issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Compiling and maintaining non-monetary reports and records.
• Answering phones and receptionist work
• Assisting Fleet Department with clerical work
• Filing, scanning and other light office duties when needed

As a part time Cashieryou will receive and disburse money within the dealership, answer the switchboard, and take care of customers. The position involves use of electronic scanners, cash registers, or related equipment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per Hour

Shift

• 8 hour shift- One opening Mon, 1:00pm-8:00pm Tue Off , Wed Off, Thur and Fri, 1:00pm-8:00pm
• Saturdays alternate 7:00AM-1:00PM or 1:00pm-7:00PM
• 2nd option of schedule 1:00pm-8:00pm, Tuesday 4:00pm-8:00pm, Wed 4pm-8:00pm, Thur,4:00pm-8:00pm,
• Saturdays alternate 7:00AM-1:00PM or 1:00pm-7:00PM

Weekly day range

• Rotating weekends
