Job summary

Hawk Auto Group is seeking a part-time cashier to handle transactions, greet customers, and support daily front-desk operations at our Illinois locations. You will use a cash register and computers to process payments and provide information to customers.

Responsibilities include counting cash at shift start, reconciling drawers, and assisting with clerical tasks as needed. Prior cashier and dealership experience are preferred, with strong communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cashier is preferred and dealership exposure is a plus.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Experience operating a cash register and basic computer proficiency.

• Compute and record transaction totals.
• Count money in cash drawers at shift start and reconcile at end.
• Establish or identify prices and tabulate bills using cash registers or computers.

• Answer phones and perform receptionist duties.
• Assist Fleet Department with clerical work.
• Perform filing, scanning and other light office duties as needed.

As a part time Cashier you will receive and disburse money within the dealership, answer the switchboard, and take care of customers. The position involves use of electronic scanners, cash registers, or related equipment.

Job duties

• Greeting customers at the cashier window, answering customers' questions and providing information on procedures or policies.
• Computing and recording transaction totals.
• Counting money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change, as well as reconciling the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
• Establishing or identifying prices of parts or service and tabulating bills using calculators, cash registers, or computers.
• Issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Compiling and maintaining non-monetary reports and records.
• Answering phones and receptionist work
• Assisting Fleet Department with clerical work
• Filing, scanning and other light office duties when needed

Requirements

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per Hour

Shift

• 8 hour shift- One opening Mon, 1:00pm-8:00pm Tue Off , Wed Off, Thur and Fri, 1:00pm-8:00pm
• Saturdays alternate 7:00AM-1:00PM or 1:00pm-7:00PM
• 2nd option of schedule 1:00pm-8:00pm, Tuesday 4:00pm-8:00pm, Wed 4pm-8:00pm, Thur,4:00pm-8:00pm,
• Saturdays alternate 7:00AM-1:00PM or 1:00pm-7:00PM

Weekly day range

• Rotating weekends
