Role Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the checkout lane.
  • Understand and operate the POS system, handling various payment methods and loyalty offers according to company policy.
  • Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
  • Follow guidelines on sale restrictions (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and report pricing discrepancies.
  • Manage postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons following established policies.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with questions about products.
  • Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  • Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
