Base pay range

$13.00/hr - $14.00/hr

Purpose and Responsibilities

1. Provide cash control. The cashier staff will be scheduled for three shifts a day, 24/7, to ensure customer service and cash control. Responsibilities include collecting money, reconciling sales, and maintaining quality checks and training.
2. Provide customer service. Cashiers should prioritize customer needs, be friendly and cordial, and seek management assistance during heavy customer flow or issues.
3. Security. Cashiers play a key role in security, observing for suspicious activity or theft, and being vigilant about employee and customer safety.

Qualifications

Physical Capacities

• Stand for 8 hours, able to stoop, bend, and climb stairs.
• Exert fast-paced mobility for up to 3 hours.

Mental Capacities

• Memorize prices and departments.
• Count money accurately.
• Follow instructions and communicate clearly.
• Handle multiple customers and transactions cheerfully.

Daily Tasks

• Operate cash register, provide customer service, and assist with directions and product information.
• Maintain cleanliness behind the desk and in the store.
• Prepare coffee and stock deli area.

Report to store or shift managers. Shifts include graveyard (12 am - 8 am), mid (4 pm - 12 am), and day (8 am - 4 pm). Full-time hours range from 30-40 per week.
