The Cashier/Checker is responsible for being visible and actively greeting, engaging, and assisting customers. They process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently, understanding the POS system and handling various tenders according to company policy. They must adhere to cash handling limits, guidelines on restricted sale items, and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons. Staying current with advertisements and food safety regulations is essential. They should reinforce safety programs, conduct equipment inspections, and create a welcoming environment for customers. Compliance with all laws and company guidelines is required, and the ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation is necessary.
