Busy Beaver is looking for a part-time Retail Cashier to join our neighborhood home improvement team. You will welcome customers, process payments, and keep the checkout area organized and efficient. A positive, helpful attitude helps ensure every customer leaves satisfied.

This role suits someone who communicates well, enjoys interaction, and is comfortable with basic math and multitasking in a busy retail setting. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and accurately handle cash, credit, and other transactions.
• Scan and process customer purchases quickly and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
• Answer customer questions and resolve issues or complaints in a professional manner.
• Promote store loyalty programs and special promotions.
• Direct customers to sales associates for additional assistance.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as needed.
• Open and close registers daily, following policy and POS system procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

As a Retail Cashier, you'll be the face of Busy Beaver by providing friendly, accurate, and efficient checkout experiences for every customer. You'll receive and process payments, maintain an organized checkout area, and ensure each customer leaves with a positive impression. Cashiers also assist with customer inquiries, promote store programs, and support store operations as needed.
