Job summary

Busy Beaver Building Centers, Inc. is seeking a friendly Retail Cashier to provide fast, accurate checkout experiences. You’ll handle payments, greet customers, answer questions, and promote store programs while keeping the area neat and stocked.

This PT hourly role requires available evenings and weekends, strong math, and excellent communication. You’ll be part of a community-focused team that values customer service and reliability.

Position Summary

As a Retail Cashier, you’ll be the face of Busy Beaver by providing friendly, accurate, and efficient checkout experiences for every customer. You’ll receive and process payments, maintain an organized checkout area, and ensure each customer leaves with a positive impression. Cashiers also assist with customer inquiries, promote store programs, and support store operations as needed.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values honesty, courtesy, and customer service.

What You’ll Do

• Operate the cash register and accurately handle cash, credit, and other transactions.
• Scan and process customer purchases quickly and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
• Answer customer questions and resolve issues or complaints in a professional manner.
• Promote store loyalty programs and special promotions.
• Direct customers to sales associates for additional assistance.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as needed.
• Open and close registers daily, following policy and POS system procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
