Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
2. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
3. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and loyalty offers per company policy.
4. Adhere to company policies on cash handling, restricted sale items, and pricing discrepancies.
5. Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons, and stay current with store promotions.
6. Comply with food safety and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and perform equipment inspections.
7. Create a welcoming environment, answer product questions, and adhere to all laws and guidelines.
8. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, and act with honesty and integrity.
9. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
10. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk
