Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Essential Job Functions:

• Being visible and actively greeting, engaging, and assisting customers.
• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understanding the Point of Sale (POS) system and handling tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
• Adhering to company limits on cash shortages/overages and working honestly to control loss.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Reporting pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Staying current with ads and promotions.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforcing safety programs and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers and assisting with product inquiries.
• Following all laws and company guidelines.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
• Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Following directions and seeking assistance when needed.
• Supporting and assisting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary Range: $16.90 - $26.75
