Job Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Operate the POS system, handling various tenders and loyalty offers per company policies.
  • Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
  • Follow guidelines for restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
  • Report pricing discrepancies and adhere to policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and advertisements.
  • Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers, assisting with inquiries throughout the store.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek help when resolving issues.
  • Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
